"What a great experience and Nelson, the owner,  is phenomenal! I took my 1 year old shih tzu to him today and he made Kamalie look so incredible! I will definitely be taking her back as well as her baby sister in 4 weeks. I am so happy to have found him. Wish I was able to give him 10 stars!

"Nelson is an amazing groomer! I have taken my 2 dogs (yorkie & mix) to numerous pet groomers around the area but was never happy with them.  Many times my dogs came home with cuts and they always seemed terrified after their grooming sessions. I brought my dogs in today to Le Chien Fortune after reading all these wonderful reviews and I definitely agree with the other yelpers. Nelson is very friendly, knowledgeable, detailed and professional. Their facility is sparkling clean.  He was also able to brush my yorkie's teeth which she would never let me do!!  He definitely took "pet grooming" to another level with his extra services and detailed observations. "I brought my old corgi here after hearing about the place through Yelp. With all the rain & a recent trip out to Fort Funston, Kirby desperately needed a bath. The place is very well lit & immaculate & after meeting Nelson, I knew my dog would be in good hands. He was very professional, and took the time to listen to my concerns & answer my questions. Kirby came out looking incredible- his fur was super soft & he smelled great! Nelson opens one Sunday a month & seems very flexible for appointments. "Nelson, the owner is extremely kind and patient with my two cockers.  He takes the time to groom my two just right!  He will ask you what you prefer and give gentle suggestions as to what is the best for your pooch.  He also runs a small day care with daily walks which would be helpful to anyone wanting that service.  He shares the love not only with you the owner ,but with your precious canines as well!    You rock Nelson!"

"Nelson is one of the best dog groomers I have ever met. He brings a very personal approach to his clients. My Siberian husky is very afraid  strangers, but he loved Nelson. Mac (my Husky) came home smelling great.

"This is a wonderful place to take your pet to be groomed. Nelson does an awsome job and is very patient with the animals. I had trouble finding a groomer that could deal with my aggressive Yorkie but Nelson is able to, and does an outstanding job. Since I have been bringing my dog there they have developed a trusting relationship and she has actually calmed down. "Nelson has groomed my Yorkie a few times and I will not go to any other groomer but Nelson! I would have never thought my dog would ever look forward to going to the groomer but he does! "Finally someone who can groom a scottish terrier correctly! I have tried so many places in the bay area, having moved here a few months ago....and this is the first place I have been happy with. It is a lot more reasonably priced than other places and Nelson takes care of teeth aswell as the other important areas.

"Le Chien Fortune means the fortunate dog. cool name if you ask me-very catchy. My long and unfortunate search for the best dog groomer has finally ended thanks to Nelson and Le Chien Fortune. My dog has suffered from popped eye vessels (almost went blind), scabs, and uneven haircuts at other places. But Nelson and his business is top notch service for a very reasonable price its almost to good to be true. Full service groom for my shih tzu was only $51! I could tell Nelson has a passion for his job, he truly does an excellent job. He took care of my baby as if it were his own. Milo smelled very good too! He has a cute shih tzu named pumpkin as well thats the store mascot. I am very happy I found my permanent groomer! thanks nelson!"
